Numbered Foot Switches
The 3 numbered foot switches will access one of the three presets in the
currently selected bank. Each of these switches has an LED directly above it to
indicate the currently selected preset. Pressing the currently active Footswitch
will bypass all effects in the GENETXa processor, delivering a clean,
unprocessed signal.
Effect Foot Switches
These switches correspond to the Amp Channel, Chorus/Mod, and Delay
effects in the connected GeNetXa processor. Pressing these switches will
toggle between the Green, Red, and Yellow Amp Channels (indicated by the
color of the LED), and turn the Chorus/Mod and Delay effects on and off on
the fly respectively. Each switch has an LED directly above it to indicate the
status of the effect.
Pressing and holding the Delay footswitch for 2 seconds while it is active will
change its function to a tap-tempo footswitch. The Delay switch LED will now
flash at the rate of the current delay time. Tapping this switch will set the
delay time at the rate it is tapped. To exit this function, press and hold the
Delay footswitch for 2 seconds. It will then return to its on/off function.
Expression Pedal
The Expression pedal is used for real time control of effect parameters.The
parameters the Expression pedal controls are set up in the connected
GeNetXa device. The expression pedal also includes V-Switcha feature.
Activating the V-Switch will change the expression pedalOs function from
controlling the assigned parameters of a preset to controlling the wah effect in
the connected GeNetXa device. To activate the V-Switch function, rock the
pedal all the way forward (toe down) and apply pressure on the toe. The far
right Tuner LED will light indicating that V-Switch is now active and the
expression pedal is now controlling the wah.To disengage the wah effect, just
apply pressure on the toe again. The far right Tuner LED will turn off and the
expression pedal will return to controlling the assigned parameters again.
Assigning a parameter to the Control X Expression pedal is performed on the
GENETXa processor.
Expression Pedal Calibration Procedure
The first time the Control X is connected to a GeNetXa device, you will
need to calibrate the Expression pedal as outlined in the following steps:.
1. Enter the Pedal Calibration menu in the Utility section of your GENETXa
processor (the Control X automatically enters calibration mode when
connected to the GENETXa Processor for the first time). |
